The devotee can release anyone from my bondage, but I cannot release anyone from his.

If, at any time, he grabs and binds me, even then, I cannot protest. ||1||

My loving ones can set anyone free from what holds them, the One says.
And me? Their love holds me so completely that I gladly stay. When they bind me with love, I never pull away.
Love is the only thing that gladly binds even the One.
A stunning reversal: the One says its loving ones can free anyone from what binds them, while the One itself is gladly bound by their love and will not pull away. Love is the one thing that can hold even the One, because the One wants to be held.
A Question to Sit With
When has someone's love for you made you want to stay close?
