Everything Washes Clean

darsan paykh bha-ay nirbikha-ee paa-ay hai saglay thok.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, they are cleansed of corruption. They obtain absolutely everything.
They have nothing to do with anything else; they gaze on the beauteous Face of God. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When they turn their eyes to the One, everything heavy washes off, and they feel they have all they could need.

Nothing else pulls at them. They only want to keep gazing at the beauty of the One.

One clear look toward the One can wash a heavy heart clean.
The deeper layer

One look at the One can wash away everything heavy.

Darshan means seeing the One, and being seen in return. The verse says that when people have this, all the heavy, messy stuff inside washes off. They feel they have everything they could need.

After that, nothing else pulls at them. They just want to keep looking at the sundar badan, the beautiful face of the One.

Think of looking at a sunset so lovely that you forget your phone is in your hand. You do not want to look anywhere else.

A Question to Sit With

What is something whose beauty makes everything else quiet down for you?
