Serving the True Guru, he obtains the supreme status and saves the whole world. ||4||

In plain words

The wise teacher, the devotee, the scholar, is the one the One blesses with grace.

Serving the Guru, that person reaches the highest place and helps carry the whole world across.

Grace is a gift you open, and once opened it spills over onto everyone near you.
The deeper layer

Wisdom and devotion are gifts of grace, given freely.

After three verses about empty performance, Guru Arjan turns to what is real. Who is a real gi-aanee, a wise teacher? Who is a real devotee, a real scholar? The one who has received the One's kirpaa, kindness and grace.

It is not about titles or rituals. It is about a heart that has been opened.

And that gift never stays private. The one who serves the Satgur, the True Guru, reaches the highest place. The verse says such a person helps save the whole world. Think of one candle lighting another, and another, until the whole room glows. Grace spreads outward like that.

A Question to Sit With

Who is someone whose inner goodness quietly makes the people around them better?
