He cannot be found by any means. O Nanak, meeting with the Guru, God is found. ||4||6||

In plain words

In the end there is only One, being everything, all by itself. The whole show you see is that One at play.

You cannot reach the One by any trick or plan. Nanak says: meeting the Guru, you find the One.

The One is found by meeting the Guru, with the door opened from inside.
The deeper layer

Everything that passes and everything that stays is the One, playing.

Aapay aap aap hee aapay — the One is entirely itself, all by itself. Sabh aapan khayl dikhaaDhaa — all of it is the One's own play, on show. This is Ik Onkar, the One being all.

Paa-i-o na jaa-ee kahee bhaant — the One cannot be found by any method. Gur mil laaDhaa — meeting the Guru, the One is found. Think of a locked room you have circled for hours, and a friend who simply opens the door from inside.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you could only understand once someone showed you the way in?
