Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate in remembrance on my God; by great good fortune, I have found the Lord. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I give my whole self to that moment.

All day and all night I remember the One who is mine. By great good fortune, I have found the One.

One moment of turning toward the One can change everything.
The deeper layer

U-aa a-osar is that one occasion — the moment of turning toward the One. Aath pahar, the eight watches of the day, means simply all the time, day and night. Finding the One is named as vadbhaag, great good fortune — the language of grace, not of reward.

A Question to Sit With

Can you remember a moment that quietly changed the direction of your life?
