Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Guru fills every longing of the heart.

Every treasure comes from remembering the One. All day and all night, my mind, remember.

The treasure worth having is found by keeping the One in mind.
The deeper layer

Satgur fulfills manorath, the heart's deep desires — the longings no toy or prize can reach. Sagal padaarath, every treasure, comes through simran, keeping the One in living memory. Aath pahar means always, through the whole turning day.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you long for that no toy or prize could ever fill?
