In plain words

When my tongue speaks the goodness of the One, it becomes beautiful, like it was made for exactly this.

In a single moment the One brings whole worlds into being and folds them away again. Watching that endless, playful wonder, my heart is completely charmed.

Your voice is at its most beautiful when it is naming what amazes you.
The deeper layer

The tongue becomes beautiful when it speaks of the One's goodness.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Rasnaa raam kahat gun sohan — the tongue looks lovely when it sings the praises of the One. Speaking finds what it was made for.

Charit means the play of creation. The whole universe is like an endless, wonderful show. Ayk nimakh opaa-ay samaavai — in one blink, the One makes it and folds it away again.

Man mohan means my mind is charmed. It is the wonder you feel when you glimpse something huge behind ordinary things. Think of looking up at a sky full of stars on a camping trip. You go quiet, and all you can say is "wow."

A Question to Sit With

What is something so wondrous that just talking about it makes you light up?
