In plain words

The One is a home for anyone who feels they have none — gentle and kind, an ocean of peace that carries every pain and fear away.

Nanak says, this is all my heart asks for: to live by seeing the One, right at those feet.

The One is a home especially for anyone who feels they have none.
The deeper layer

The One is a home for anyone who feels they have none.

Anaathah naath — master of the masterless, home of the homeless — names the One as especially near to those the world overlooks. Sukh saagar — ocean of peace; sarab dokh bhai harnee — remover of all pain and fear. Pekh jeevaa — I live by beholding — makes nearness itself the life asked for.

A Question to Sit With

Who might feel left out or unseen around you — and how could you help them feel at home?
