There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.
The One who made this world is the same One who watches over it and gives each of us our part to do. Your gifts light up the heart the way the moon lights the night.
That glow is Your gift, and where it shines, the darkness of sorrow gets up and leaves.
The good qualities gather like a wedding party around the Beloved, who chooses each heart with care. The celebration is full of splendor, arriving on that deep, soundless music — because the One who made the world watches over it still.
jin kee-aa tin daykhi-aa — the One who created also watches over and daykhi-aa (beholds, tends). The wedding imagery is gentle and grand: gun janj, a marriage party made of virtues, gathers around the laarhaa (bridegroom, the Beloved), who parakh mohnee-ai la-i-aa, chooses His beloved with care. daan har kai — by the Lord's gift, dukh andhayraa uth ga-i-aa, the darkness of pain simply rises and goes. The Maker is not distant: the same hand that made you tends you and lights you.
When has a small gift or bit of light chased away a bit of your sadness?
