When the heart drifts far from the One, the whole world can start to feel foreign and cold. Then who do I open my heavy bundle of worries to?
It is not only me — the whole world carries its aches; who really knows the state of my inner self? The rounds of restless wandering can feel frightening, with no end in sight.
Without the Name, a heart feels empty and low, missing the Word that would steady it. But that emptiness is the very sign pointing home: when the heart drifts far, the world feels foreign — so the way back is to draw near again.
man pardaysee jay thee-ai — if the mind becomes a pardaysee, a stranger/foreigner, then sabh days paraa-i-aa, the whole country feels alien. The old lines about aavnay jaavnay kharay daraavanay, dreadful comings and goings, name real loneliness — we keep the ache honest but turn it toward hope: the feeling of being a stranger is not a sentence but a signpost. The cure is right in the refrain read forward: draw near and the world becomes home again. naam vihoonay oonay jhoonay — empty and low without the Name — is a diagnosis, not a verdict.
When you have felt out of place or far from home, what helped you feel like you belonged again?
