Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Sing the One's praises, again and again — facing the Teacher, you find the One. All day and night dwell in the Word, and a soundless music begins to ring.
That unstruck music sounds, and the One comes home to the heart; so sing His praises together.
A heart that lives its love before the Teacher day and night becomes dear to the Beloved. Where the Teacher's Word settles inside, those hearts grow beautiful in the Word. In their homes there is always a song of joy, for the One in His kindness has come home.
anhad sabad vajaa-ay — the anhad, the unstruck sound, plays: the inner music a settled heart senses, needing no instrument. har jee-o ghar aa-ay — the One comes ghar, home, into the heart. The repeated invitation to sing, har gun gaavhu, frames devotion as gladness, never a grim duty. saa dhan kant pi-aaree — the heart that lives its love day and night becomes beloved; closeness grows from steady, joyful practice.
Is there a kind of music or quiet you can feel inside, even when everything is silent?
