O Nanak, I have found my True Lord God, who never dies, and is not born. ||4||1||3||

In plain words

The One has arranged this meeting and comes to make the heart His own.

The heart that finds the One becomes dear to Him; good people gather singing songs of joy, and the One Himself makes the soul beautiful.

It is as if all of creation — every bright being, every voice — gathers into one wondrous celebration. I have found the True One, who never dies and is never born.

When a heart finds the One, it is as if all creation celebrates.
The deeper layer

This one describes a wedding, and all of creation comes to celebrate.

In these songs, a soul meeting the One is pictured as a bride meeting her beloved. Har prabh kaaj rachaa-i-aa means the One has arranged the wedding. Good people gather and sing mangal, songs of joy.

Apoorab janj banaa-ee means a wedding party like no other. The janj is the crowd of guests who come with the groom. Here it is made of sur nar gan gandharab: bright heavenly beings, people, and heavenly singers. Think of a whole city cheering in the streets when their team wins.

Naa kaday marai na jaa-ee means the One found here never dies and never goes away. The One is the one lasting sach, truth, worth belonging to.

A Question to Sit With

What is a moment of joy so big it felt like everyone was celebrating?
