Meeting the Teacher, I crossed the wide sea; keeping the One in mind, I came through.
Holding the One close, I found every good thing, and the endless coming-and-going settled into rest.
With loving devotion I keep the One — unseen, endless, complete — in mind, for there is truly no other. The Teacher cleared away my doubt, and now, wherever I look, there is the One.
This verse says that once doubt is cleared away, you see the One wherever you look.
Jat daykhaa tat so-ee: wherever I look, there is the One. That is what happens after bharam khoi-aa, when doubt is gone. Think of a foggy window being wiped clean. The garden was always there. Now you can see it.
Alakh apaar pooran: the One is alakh, unseen; apaar, without edges; and pooran, complete.
Bhaa-ay bhagat: loving devotion. Bhagti here means love for the One. The verse says it comes from love, not just from duty. It is like the difference between cleaning your room because you were told to, and making a card for someone because you love them.
What is something you only started noticing everywhere once someone pointed it out?
