In plain words

The soundless music of the Word is so beautiful, and real gladness comes from singing the One.

As I sing, the aches lift and a huge joy rises up inside; mind and body feel clean and bright, and the Name is on my lips.

Let me stay humble among good people and keep the One close — and please, keep blessing me, so I can sing Your praises always.

Real gladness rises from singing the One, and it lifts the aches as it comes.
The deeper layer

This verse is about a beautiful music inside, and the joy of singing to the One.

Anhat sabad suhaavaa: the anhat Word is beautiful. Anhat means "unstruck," a sound no drum or string makes. It is the inner music a calm heart can sense. The verse simply calls it suhaavaa, lovely.

Sach mangal har jas gaavaa: true joy is singing the One's praise. Think of how a favorite song can lift a whole bad mood in a car ride.

Ho-ay rayn saadhoo: becoming the dust under the feet of the holy. That sounds low, but think of soil. Nothing grows in the air. Humility is the soil where joy grows.

A Question to Sit With

What song or activity fills you with a big, rising joy?
