Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
In plain words
I would give anything for You — You are my sheltering mountain, the great rock I stand behind.
Countless thanks to the One who tore away the curtain of doubt: the darkness cleared, and my heart came to rest with its Master.
Now I am carefree and glad, my life whole and welcomed; the door to freedom stands open — and I am fearless, because the One is my shelter and shield.
With the One as your shelter, you can be genuinely fearless.
The deeper layer
parbat mayraa olhaa — the One as a sheltering mountain, a rock to stand behind: solid protection. bha-ee nikaanee, becoming carefree, free of anxious dependence. ha-o nirbha-o ho-ee, I am fearless: echoing the Mool Mantar's nirbhau — fearlessness as the fruit of shelter in the One. mukat, freedom, its door now open.
A Question to Sit With
