They alone worship and adore the Lord deep within, who are blessed with such pre-ordained destiny from the very beginning of time.

What can anyone do to undermine them? My Creator Lord is on their side. ||1||

In plain words

Deep inside, some hearts turn toward the One and hold it close, as if this longing was written into them from the very start, part of who they always were.

And when a heart is turned that way, no one can shake it or tear it down. The Maker of everything is standing right beside it.

When your heart is turned toward the One, nothing outside can shake you.
The deeper layer

When a heart turns toward the One, the Creator stands on its side.

Tinhee antar har aaraaDhi-aa — some people hold the One close, deep inside. The verse says this was likhat lilaaraa, "written on the brow" from the very start. That sounds like fate stamped on from outside. Here it means something gentler. It is a name for the loving pull the heart finds as its own deepest nature. It is like a sunflower turning to the sun. No one forces it. That is simply what it is.

Tin kee bakheelee ko-ee ki-aa karay — what can anyone do to tear such people down? Jin kaa ang karay mayraa har kartaaraa — the Creator takes their side. Ang karay means to stand with someone, like a teammate who always has your back.

A Question to Sit With

When have you felt steady inside even while things around you were trying to unsettle you?
