In plain words

This One never wears out and never fades away. It does not arrive and it does not leave — it simply is.

When the teacher's wisdom washes away the heavy dust of ego (haumai — the feeling that you are a separate self, cut off from everything), you settle into the deepest peace there is.

When ego's dust is washed away, the changeless One is all that is left.
The deeper layer

oh abhinaasee — the imperishable; naa ko aavai naa ko jaahee — beyond coming and going. gur poorai ha-umai mal Dho-ee — the Perfect Guru washes the mal (dust/stain) of ego, and param gat (the supreme state) is simply what remains. Notice the direction: the peace is not built, it is uncovered.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel calm and whole, instead of small and separate?
