The Sweet, Natural Speech

ਸਹਜ ਕਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਮੀਠੀ ॥
sahj kathaa parabh kee at meethee.
The Natural Speech of God is so very sweet.
ਵਿਰਲੈ ਕਾਹੂ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਹੁ ਡੀਠੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
virlai kaahoo naytarahu deethee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
How rare is that person, who sees it with his eyes. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The easy, natural talk about the One is the sweetest thing to hear.

But only a rare few actually see it with their own eyes.

The sweetest talk about what is true flows easily, without showing off.
The deeper layer

The Rahao: sahj kathaa prabh kee at meethee — sahj is natural, effortless ease. Speech about the One, when it flows from that ease rather than from show, is at meethee, deeply sweet. virlai... deethee — rare is the one who truly perceives it, because it takes a quiet heart to notice.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever heard someone speak so simply and truly that it stayed with you?
