Sometimes I get so wrapped up in wanting things and holding on tight. Then I forget to turn toward the One at all.
I notice, honestly, that I have not offered much of myself to the Maker who made me. I would like that to change.
This verse is an honest look at ourselves.
Lobh mohi magan apraaDhee — the one who has gone off course is lost in lobh and moh. Lobh means greed, always wanting more. Moh means clinging, holding things too tight. ApraaDhee is often translated "sinner," but it is closer to "someone who has made mistakes and drifted."
Then: karanhaar kee sayv na saaDhee — I haven't served the Maker. Sayv means service. Think of noticing, at the end of the day, that you spent it all on screens and forgot to call your grandma. It isn't a punishment. It's a moment of honest noticing. That noticing is the first step back.
When you notice you have drifted from something good, how do you turn back?
