Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
gur apunay oopar bal jaa-ee-ai.
I am a sacrifice to my True Guru.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
aath pahar har har jas gaa-ee-ai. ||1||
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

I feel deep thankfulness for the teaching that lights my way.
Around the clock, through every part of the day, I keep the praises of the One alive on my lips.
Praise is not for special moments only — it can run all day long.
gur apunay oopar bal jaa-ee-ai — devotion to the Guru. aath pahar har har jas gaa-ee-ai — aath pahar (all eight watches, the full day) singing jas (praise). Continuous remembrance woven through ordinary time.
