Verse 2 of 5

The One Who Knows Every Heart

ਸਿਮਰਉ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
simra-o so parabh apnaa su-aamee.
Meditate in remembrance on God, your Lord and Master.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal ghataa kaa antarjaamee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I keep the One in mind — the One who is truly my own, closer than any owner or boss.

That One quietly knows what is inside every heart, so there is nothing about me left to explain.

The One already knows every heart — including yours, completely.
The deeper layer

simra-o so parabh apnaa su-aamee — remembering God, one’s own su-aamee (master). sagal ghataa kaa antarjaamee — the antarjaamee, inner-knower of all hearts. This is the Pause line.

A Question to Sit With

How does it feel to be fully known by someone who is completely kind?
