Living True Never Runs Out

ਸਚਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਾਏ ॥
sachaa Dharam punn bhalaa karaa-ay.
One who practices truth, righteous living, charity and good deeds,
ਦੀਨ ਕੈ ਤੋਸੈ ਦੁਨੀ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥
deen kai tosai dunee na jaa-ay. ||2||
has the supplies for God's Path. Worldly success shall not fail him. ||2||

In plain words

When you live by truth, do good, share with others, and act kindly, you are packing supplies for the whole road ahead.

And here is the surprise: living that way, your everyday life does not fall apart either — both sides are cared for.

Living true feeds both your inner life and your everyday one.
The deeper layer

This one says living well looks after both your inner life and your everyday life. You do not have to pick one.

Sachaa Dharam punn bhalaa karaa-ay lists what a good life is made of. Dharam means living truthfully. Punn means good deeds and sharing. Bhalaa means kindness.

Deen kai tosai dunee na jaa-ay means that with a tosaa, a packed bag of supplies, for the inner road, you do not lose the dunee, the outer world, either.

Think of packing a good lunch for a school trip. It feeds you on the trip, and you still get home fine. Truth and kindness work like that. They carry you on the inner road, and your everyday life is cared for too. It is both, not either-or.

A Question to Sit With

Can you think of a good habit that helps you in more than one part of life?
