When the True King is pleased, the world is rid of its diseases. ||1||

In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

Here is my quiet request to the teacher: let me be given the Name to lean on and live by.

When the One is glad, a kind of fever lifts off the whole world, and things feel well again.

Sometimes the whole world feels better when your heart is at peace.
The deeper layer

satgur paas banantee-aa milai naam aaDhaaraa — a prayer to the Guru for the Name as support; tuthaa sachaa paatisaahu taap ga-i-aa sansaaraa — when the True Sovereign is pleased, the world's fever departs. taap, fever, stands for the restlessness that grace cools.

A Question to Sit With

What is a simple thing you would ask for if someone said yes in advance?
