In plain words

When I turn toward the teaching and let the true Word settle in me, my days start to count for something — they bear real fruit.

A light seems to switch on inside, and I rest in an easy, natural peace — not forced, just at home in myself.

A life turned toward truth quietly bears fruit.
The deeper layer

A life turned toward the teaching bears real fruit and rests in peace.

Gurmukh janam sakaarthaa — the gurmukh, one turned toward the Guru's teaching, lives a fruitful life. Sachai sabad lagann — they hold on to the true Shabad, the Word.

Aatam raam pargaasi-aa — the One lights up their inner self. It is like a lamp switching on in a dark room. Sehjay sukh rahann — they live in sahaj, a natural, unforced peace. It is the ease of being at home in yourself, like sinking into your favorite chair after a long day.

A Question to Sit With

What is one small thing you do that makes your days feel worthwhile?
