At Play With the One

They are not born, and they do not die; they do not suffer in pain.
gur raakhay say ubray har si-o kayl karann. ||33||
Those who are protected by the Guru are saved. They celebrate with the Lord. ||33||

In plain words

When I rest in what's timeless, the endless worry about coming and going loosens its grip — that deep place is untouched by it.

Held safe by the teaching, I come through, and something in me gets to simply play and delight in the One. Life becomes lighter, gladder.

Rooted in the timeless, the heart gets to simply play and delight.
The deeper layer

naa o-ay janmeh naa mareh, naa o-ay dukh sahann — rooted in the timeless, one is untouched by the churn of coming and going; gur raakhay say ubray, har si-o kayl karann — protected by the teaching, they come through and play (kayl) with the One. The heavy birth-death cycle is kept light; joy is foregrounded.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel most free and playful?
