In plain words

When I finally searched my own inner home instead of everywhere outside, I found the treasure of the Name waiting there.

The teaching showed me what was there the whole time — the One, alive in the very center of me. I just hadn't looked in the right place.

The treasure you're searching for is already at home in you.
The deeper layer

The treasure you are looking for is already inside you, at home.

Vadbhaagee ghar khoji-aa — "by good fortune, I searched my own ghar, my home." Paa-i-aa naam niDhaan — "and I found the treasure of the Name."

Think of hunting all over the house for your glasses, and then finding them on your own head.

Gur poorai vaykhaali-aa — the Perfect Guru showed me. Prabh aatam raam pachhaan — I recognized aatam raam, the One already living as the deepest self inside me. The Guru did not bring anything new. The Guru pointed to what was there all along.

A Question to Sit With

Where have you looked far away for something that was right nearby?
