There is one Source behind every single person — not a different one for each of us, but the same Oneness in all.
When grace lets that settle into my mind, it lights up right inside my own heart. And once I see it in me, I start to see it everywhere.
There is one Source behind every person, and it is the same One in all of us.
Sabhnaa kaa prabh ayk hai — there is one Lord of everyone. Doojaa avar na ko-ay — there is no other at all. This is the heart of Ik, the "One" that opens the Guru Granth Sahib.
Think of the sun shining into every window on your street. Each room looks different, but it is the same sun.
Gur parsaadee man vasai — by the Guru's grace, the One comes to live in the mind. Tit ghat pargat ho-ay — and shows itself inside that heart. Once you see it in yourself, you begin to see it everywhere.
If everyone shared the same Source, how might you treat a stranger?
