Raag Sorath
Commentary

Raag Sorath, Du-Padas, Mehl 5 (Guru Arjan)

Give yourself to what is good, and the world grows gentle around you.

The Arc

Pauri 0: those who serve the One find the world well-disposed toward them; the One makes them His own and carries them across the ocean of existence. Rahau (Pauri 1): the One resolves every affair of those who love It, merciful as an endless ocean; welcomed everywhere with honor, one lacks nothing, and the One's goodness shines through the life.

Key Vocabulary

  • angeekaar kee-o: made them His own, embraced them
  • bhav nidh paar utaaray: carried across the ocean of existence
