One who remembers the Lord in meditation, is emancipated; millions have been saved in this way. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Name is the shelter that the good ones lean on.

Whoever holds it in mind is lifted free, and countless hearts have found their way this same way.

The same shelter that held countless others is open to you too.
The deeper layer

The Rahau: har naam santan kee otaa — the Name as shelter; udhrahi sagle kotaa — millions lifted. Remembrance as the doorway open to all.

A Question to Sit With

What is a shelter — a person, a place, a practice — you lean on?
