Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
My strength is humility, and my only weapon is to be as low and gentle as the dust under everyone's feet.
Nothing harmful can stand against this quiet strength; the teaching showed me this secret.
The quietest strength — humility — turns out to be the one nothing can defeat.
gareebee gadaa hamaaree — humility as one's club; ren chhaaree — the dust of feet as one's blade. The martial words are turned inside out: lowliness is the invincible strength.
A Question to Sit With
Can you think of a time being humble was actually stronger than being tough?
