In plain words

Everyone who has tasted the sweetness of the deep song serves You — all of it is Your own work anyway.

By grace they grow clear and clean, because they've let go of the small, grasping self.

Night and day they sing the praises of the true One, made beautiful by the words of the teaching.

Once you've tasted the sweetness of the deep song, serving flows on its own — and the grasping self quietly lets go.
The deeper layer

This opens the Mehl 3 (Guru Amar Das) block of Sorath. The keyword is saad — the "taste/relish" of the shabad: service flows naturally once you've tasted it, not from duty. Aap gavaa-i-aa — "eradicated the self" — is the letting-go of the grasping ego (haumai), framed by this project as healing, not self-erasure: you become nirmal (clear/clean) when the small separate self relaxes its grip. The result is a life suhaa-i-aa — made beautiful — by the teaching. Note sabad is treated as the deep song whose taste draws you in.

A Question to Sit With

When has doing something kind felt less like a chore and more like something you wanted to do?
