You are engrossed in the pleasures of other men's wives, and slander; you have not worshipped the Lord at all. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

O my mind, what tangled paths have you been wandering down?

Caught up in wanting what isn't yours and in unkind words, you have forgotten to turn toward the One — but it's never too late to turn back.

It's never too late to gently turn the heart back.
The deeper layer

man ray ka-un kumat tai leenee — O mind, what wrong-mindedness have you taken on? This is a gentle self-address, not a condemnation. par daaraa nindiaa — desiring what belongs to others, and slander; the wrong turn is something to heal, not a crime. This is the Rahau.

A Question to Sit With

When you notice yourself heading the wrong way, what helps you turn back?
