Sorat'h, Ninth Mehl:
ਰੇ ਨਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਚੀ ਜੀਅ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
ray nar ih saachee jee-a Dhaar.
O man, grasp this Truth firmly in your soul.
ਸਗਲ ਜਗਤੁ ਹੈ ਜੈਸੇ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਬਿਨਸਤ ਲਗਤ ਨ ਬਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal jagat hai jaisay supnaa binsat lagat na baar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The whole world is just like a dream; it will pass away in an instant. ||1||Pause||

It's beautiful and passing, here and then gone — so hold it lightly and love it well.
Hold the passing world lightly, and love it while it's here.
ih saachee jee-a dhaar — hold this truth in the soul; sagal jagat hai jaisay supnaa — the whole world is like a dream; binsat lagat na baar — it passes in no time. The dream-nature of the passing world, held with tenderness rather than dread. This is the Rahau.
