From the very first spark of a life, everything unfolds within the great flow of existence, the same flow that turns seeds into trees and night into morning.
We are gently brought into the world by it, held by it the whole way through.
And the one who lives facing the teaching walks through life doing what matters, and leaves having done their true work well.
From our very first moment, all of life unfolds within the flow the One set moving.
Hukmai andar nimmi-aa — within hukam, the flow of existence, a life begins. Hukmai udar majhaar — within it, the baby grows inside the mother. Hukmai andar jammi-aa — within it, we are born. At every step, the same flow holds us. It is the flow that turns a seed into a tree and night into morning.
Then Guru Nanak shows who lives this well. Gurmukh dargeh jaanee-ai — the gurmukh, the person who faces the Guru's teaching, is known and honored in the One's court. Chalai kaaraj saar — they leave having done their true work well. Think of finishing a big school project with care. You hand it in with a light, happy heart.
