You shine right through the people who love You, when I want to see what You are like, I look at them.
Everyone gets pulled around by shiny wanting sometimes, and yet all of us belong to You, the great Shaper of how things unfold.
When I quiet my grabby 'me' and let the noisy wanting settle, the Word suddenly makes sense from the inside.
This verse says the One shines through the people who love It.
Bhagtaa vich aap varatdaa: You live and move inside Your loving people. Bhagtee hoo too jaataa: through them, You are known. If you want to see what goodness looks like, look at someone who truly loves.
Maa-i-aa moh sabh lok: everyone gets pulled around by maya, the shiny world of wanting. Yet all of us still belong to the One, the bidhaataa, the Shaper of how things unfold.
Think of a lamp behind a frosted window. You cannot see the bulb, but you see the glow on the glass. Kind people are like that glass.
The last line shows the way. Ha-umai maar mansaa maneh samaanee: quiet the haumai, the loud "me, me, me," and let the wanting settle. Then the Guru's Word makes sense from the inside.
Who shows you, by how they live, what goodness looks like?
