Saints of the One, my brothers and sisters, come and sit with me, and help me plant even a tiny seed of the Name in my heart.
Dress me up, not in fancy clothes, but in forgiveness — let me wear kindness and letting-go the way other people wear their finest robes.
That is the kind of beauty the One loves best. A heart wrapped in forgiveness is dear and precious.
Keep the Name close, morning and night, and in a single blink the weight of old mistakes lifts away.
When mercy flows toward you, you turn toward the Guru, say the Naam, and win the whole game of life.
Adornment turns inside out: the finest seegaar (decoration) is khim — forgiveness — worn like a robe. Beauty gets a new meaning: the most beautiful thing about a person is how readily they let go of grudges. Sabh kilbikh kaatai ik palkaa — the burden of old wrongs is cut away "in an instant," a hopeful, freeing promise. "Winning the game of life" (jinkaa) closes it with warmth.
Think of a time you forgave someone, or someone forgave you. Did letting go of it make you feel lighter or heavier?
