In plain words

By the One's will, each of us receives what comes to us. So what can we do now, wise one?

When the One's order comes, it is settled. Every living being moves and acts within that same great flow.

Life flows in a certain direction — real peace comes from moving with it, not fighting it.
The deeper layer

Everything moves inside the One's great flow, so the wise thing is to move with it.

This short verse is by Guru Nanak himself. It turns on hukam, the One's will, the great flow of everything. It speaks to a paanday, a learned pandit, and gently reminds him that cleverness alone does not run the world.

Ab ki-aa keejai means so what can we do now? It is not a helpless shrug. It is an invitation to stop swimming against the current. Think of a river. You can fight it and wear yourself out, or float and let it carry you where you need to go.

HanDheh jee-a kamaaday: every living being moves and acts within that one flow. Wisdom is joining it. This is trust, never giving up.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever kept struggling against something you couldn't change, and then felt relief when you finally accepted it? What is the difference between giving up and going with the flow?
