Sikhism·Raag Sorath·Shabad 168
Verse 5 of 6

Wherever I Go, I Am Serving You

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਜਾਉ ਤਹਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥
jah jah jaa-o tahaa tayree sayvaa.
Wherever I go, there I serve You.
ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੪॥
tum so thaakur a-or na dayvaa. ||4||
There is no other Lord Master than You, O Divine Lord. ||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever I go, whatever I do, there I am serving You.

There is no other Master, no other Beloved anywhere, than You alone.

Every place you go can become a place of love and service.
The deeper layer

Service (sayvaa) becomes constant, not a special act set apart, but the texture of every place and moment. For Ravidas there is no corner of life outside the One's presence, so every step is already a way of loving.

A Question to Sit With

How could an ordinary chore become a small act of love?
