O my mind, drink in the Name until you're fully satisfied — the sweetest taste there is, revealed through the living words.
The Beloved is the holy river and the raft that crosses it, ferrying its own self over.
It casts the great net across the whole world, and it is the fish inside the net too — never once mistaken, with no other beside it.
This one says: the One is the net and the fish, the river and the raft.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Jap man har har naam ras Dharaapai: O mind, repeat the Name and be filled by its taste. Ras means juice or flavor. The Name is called amrit naam, sweet nectar, the sweetest juice there is. Through the Guru's words, you get to taste it.
Then come two bold pairs. First, tirath and tulharhaa: the holy river and the raft that crosses it. The One is both, and it carries itself across. Second, jaal and machhulee: the net and the fish. The One throws the net over the whole world, and is also the fish inside it.
Think of a game where you are both the one hiding and the one seeking. That is the One. Abhul means it never makes a mistake. The tirath, a place of pilgrimage, is honored here, but turned inward. The holy river is the One itself.
When something feels like a trap, could it also somehow be part of you and not just against you?
