ਸੁਖੀਏ ਕਉ ਪੇਖੈ ਸਭ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਰੋਗੀ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਭ ਰੋਗੀ ॥
sukhee-ay ka-o paykhai sabh sukhee-aa rogee kai bhaanai sabh rogee.

The Lord and Master acts, and causes us to act; union is in His Hands. ||1||

In plain words

To a happy heart, everyone seems happy; to a hurting heart, everyone seems to be hurting too.

The One acts through us and stirs us to act; how things come together rests in its hands.

The world often looks the way you feel inside — so tending your own heart changes what you see.
The deeper layer

A luminous piece of inner psychology. Sukhee-ay ka-u paykhai sabh sukhee-aa — the world wears the color of your own eyes. Your inner state is the lens through which you see everyone. The second line lifts this beyond mere positive thinking: karan karaavanhaar — the One that does and causes doing — reminds us we are not the sole authors, which itself relaxes the grip of self.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever noticed the same day feeling totally different depending on your mood?
