sun baynantee su-aamee apunay naanak ih sukh maagai.
Hear my prayer, O Lord and Master; Nanak begs for this happiness:
jah keertan tayraa saaDhoo gaavahi tah mayraa man laagai. ||4||6||
whereever Your Holy Saints sing the Kirtan of Your Praises, let my mind be attached to that place. ||4||6||

Hear my one small prayer — this is the happiness I ask for:
wherever good people sing Your praises, let my heart be there with them.
Of all the things to wish for, one of the sweetest is simply to be where good and joyful people gather.
The close narrows every desire to one: jah keertan tayraa saaDhoo gaavahi, tah mayraa man laagai — let my mind rest wherever the One is being sung. Keertan is framed with pure warmth (never negatively): the sung remembrance is where the heart wants to live. A humble, complete request — not for things, but for belonging to the music of praise.
A Question to Sit With
Where is a place, or a group, that always leaves your heart feeling lighter?
