Nanak has taken to the Shelter of the Saints; his heart is absorbed in the Lord's feet. ||4||4||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever the One points a heart, that's where it goes, and so a life takes its shape.

I've simply taken hold of the good's shelter, and my heart is lost, happily, at the One's feet.

Point your heart toward good things and good company, and your whole life takes that shape.
The deeper layer

The close rests in trust: jit ko laa-i-aa tit hee laagaa — a life takes the shape of where the heart is pointed, so pointing it well is everything. Sah pakree santan kee — Nanak takes hold of the shelter of the good (saadhsangat) — and the heart is magan, joyfully absorbed. Not effortful striving, but glad belonging.

A Question to Sit With

Where is your heart pointed most of the time — and is that where you want it?
