In plain words

Standing up, sitting down, all through the ordinary day, they sing the One's praises — and pain, sorrow, and confusion just pack up and leave.

This is a life gone right: a heart quietly held to the teacher's path.

A steady heart in ordinary moments is a life gone right.
The deeper layer

This one says a life goes right when praise runs through ordinary days. Oothat baithat har gun gaavai — standing up and sitting down, they sing the One's praises. The praise is not saved for one special hour. It runs through the whole plain day. It is like humming your favorite song while you pack your school bag, eat lunch and walk home.

That steady praise is what clears away dookh darad bharam: pain, hurt and doubt. The closing words call this poor karammaa, a life that has come to fullness. And the verse says what that looks like: jaa kaa gur charnee man laagaa. It means a mind gently held at the Guru's feet, close to the path of the guide.

A Question to Sit With

What is one small thing you could carry with you all through a normal day?
