I am forever a sacrifice to my God, who has totally protected and preserved my honor. ||3||

In plain words

Good things start to be said, and the company of people who love the One grows dear to me.

I am so grateful to the One who quietly protected my honor and made things whole.

Real gratitude is what overflows when you have been quietly cared for.
The deeper layer

When you have been quietly looked after, thank-you just spills out.

Jai jai kaar karai sabh — everyone cheers and says good things. Sangat saadh pi-aaree — the company of good people has become dear to me. It is not just useful to be with them. It is loved.

Jin pooran paij savaaree — the One fully protected my honor. Paij means honor, a person's good name and dignity. This comes up often in these shabads. The One quietly guards a person's dignity, especially when they could not guard it themselves. Think of a friend who steps in when you trip on stage, and makes it look like part of the show.

Sad balihaar — I give myself gladly, forever. It is the natural overflow of feeling so cared for.

A Question to Sit With

Who has stood up for you or protected you when you could not do it yourself?
