ਸਮਰਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
samrath purakh pooran biDhaatay aapay karnaihaaraa.
He is the all-powerful, Perfect Lord, the Architect of Destiny; He Himself is the Doer of deeds.
ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥
apunaa daas har aap ubaari-aa naanak naam aDhaaraa. ||2||6||34||
The Lord Himself saves His slave; Nanak takes the Support of the Naam. ||2||6||34||

The all-powerful One, perfect and complete, shapes everything and does it all Himself.
That One lifts up the person who leans on Him, and the Name becomes their steady support.
Lean on the Name, and you are held up.
Bidhaatay is the shaper of what comes; aapay karnaihaaraa, He Himself is the doer. Naam adhaaraa is the Name as the beam you lean your whole weight on and it holds.
