In plain words

My Beloved grew kind in His true and gentle court.

The Teacher lifted the fever away, my friends, and a cool calm settled over the whole world.

The One keeps every being and creature safe — here, even death has nothing left to do.

In the One’s care, there is finally nothing left to fear.
The deeper layer

Thaanadh pa-ee sansaar — a cooling spreads over the world, the perfect image for the moment a fever breaks. The line jameh kee-o hattaar (“the messenger of death is out of work”) is rendered as “even death has nothing left to do” — the fear-picture set down, the reassurance kept: in the One’s care, there is nothing to dread.

A Question to Sit With

What does a cool calm after a fever feel like to you?
