Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Hold the One’s feet close within your heart.
Keep the One in mind always, my friends — that One clears away sorrow and every heavy mark it leaves.
Keeping the One close clears both the sorrow and its stain.
Ridai ur dhaar — enshrine within the heart. Dukh kilbikh kaatanhaar — the cutter-away of both suffering (dukh) and kilbikh, the residue that mistakes leave behind. Remembrance both eases the pain and clears its aftermath.
