In plain words

Good friends, let us hold the One’s Name in our hearts.

Never let go of the One, the ocean of peace — and the wishes your heart holds will come to fruit.

Stay close to the ocean of peace and your deepest wishes ripen.
The deeper layer

This shabad opens on its pause-line, the heartbeat first: sukh saagar, the One as an ocean of peace so vast that forgetting it would be like a fish forgetting water. Man chindi-arhaa fal — the fruit the mind quietly longs for.

A Question to Sit With

What is a calm, steady thing you never want to drift away from?
