I Live by Beholding You

ki-aa gun tayray aakh vakhaanee keemat kahan na jaa-ee.
Which of Your Glorious Virtues should I describe and speak of? Your value cannot be described.
paykh paykh jeevai parabh apnaa achraj tumeh vadaa-ee. ||3||
I live by beholding, beholding You, O God. Your glorious greatness is wonderful and amazing! ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Which of Your countless goodnesses could I even begin to name? No one can put a price on You.

I stay alive just by looking at You, and Your greatness leaves me full of wonder.

Wonder is not a break from real life -- it is one of the truest ways to be alive.
The deeper layer

Keemat kahan na jaa-ee -- no price can be spoken. Paykh paykh jeevai -- one lives by beholding, by looking; wonder itself (achraj) becomes a way of staying alive to the world.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you could look at more slowly, until it fills you with wonder?
