Lost in Doubt We Wander; a Heart Can Turn Home

ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਫਿਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
bharmay bhoolaa firai sansaar.
Deluded by doubt, the world wanders around.
ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮੈ ਜਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥੩॥
mar janmai jam karay khu-aar. ||3||
It dies, and is born again, and is ruined by the Messenger of Death. ||3||

In plain words

When we're lost in doubt, we wander and circle and never quite settle.

But a heart can always be turned back toward home.

When we're lost in doubt we wander and circle — but a heart can always be turned back toward home.
The deeper layer

"Deluded by doubt, the world wanders around... ruined by the Messenger of Death." The qMonk voice keeps the gentle diagnosis — doubt makes us wander and circle — and, per the wellbeing rules, softens the death-imagery, holding to the raag's steady hope that a heart can always be turned back. Doubt (bharam), not sin, is again the wandering-cause.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel unsure and wander in circles, what helps point you home again?
